Marines Birthday Tribute

Welcome to the concept Kick off!

We are super excited to show you the concepts we developed for the upcoming Marines Salute project! Below is a few diverse approaches that leverage existing stock footage and emotional vignettes that propel the story of our armed forces. Our goal is to honor those who have sacrificed so much by presenting them just as the heroes they are. The designs are modular and we can pick and choose elements as we see fit.

Directors Production Design Notes

We created a few background panoramas to explore the background designs for Mr. Parsons intro. Also in development is a few extra storyboards for pick-up shots of the veterans and vehicles i believe will bring the edit to life. As collaborators we relish the opportunity to fully utilize the great resources and talent on hand at Sneaky Big.

Concept Art Explorations

Timeline Example - A1

The bold and graphic style allows us to cleanly portray type and images in intricate and themed frames. The motion design will be everchanging as we zoom through an explosion of bespoke illistrations.

Marines Crest with Typography - B1

This concept leverages the Marines iconography recreated in 3D for maximum impact. We balance the composition with a custom military inspired typeface

Classic Military Collage - C1

This approach takes the available stock footage and historical photos to their maximum potential by creating a dynamic and emotional collage of imagery. Using transfer modes we will build a base mood as a background and render a dramatically lit piece of military equipment to serve as the matte for the featured subject matter.

One of the many advantages of creating 3d assets is not only control of the design from end to end but also unlimited photography possibilities.
